Good Ol' Fashioned Picnic - June 28, 12 - 5 PM
RESERVED SITES, BUT…
CV First has reserved the COVE picnic area at Lake Chabot on Sunday, June 28. Table seating is on a first-come basis, so it might be wise to bring blankets or chairs, just in case. The sites will be available for our use from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
BBQ GRILLS AVAILABLE
Barbeque grills will be available, should you desire to cook up some eats.
FUN & GAMES!
Good ol’ fashioned picnic games (sack races, balloon toss, tug-o-war, etc.) will be offered to kids of all ages on the lawn area adjacent to our picnic sites starting at 1:30 p.m.
FREE WATERMELON!
Volunteers from the church will be slicing up and handing out watermelon for everyone in the park that day. Be sure to get a slice or two, and invite others to join in.
PARKING
There is a parking fee at Lake Chabot. There is free, but limited, parking on the surrounding city streets.
KEEP IT CLEAN!
There will be plenty of garbage receptacles available at the sites. Please be sure to leave the sites cleaner than you found them as a testimony to our community…and so we get our deposit back!
HELPERS STILL NEEDED
We still need assistance in making this a fun day for everyone. You can help by:
- Being there and having a great time!
- Assisting with games
- Cutting up & handing out melons
- Sticking around the clean up/pack up.
