Our Purpose

The children's choir exists so the children participating will have an opportunity to praise God for His goodness and for His gift of salvation. Our focus is on glorifying God and exalting Him so that, through the music and the message, others may come to know Christ and His gift of eternal life. Making a commitment to this ministry to serve the Lord and minister to others through the use of voice, drama, choreography, movement, etc. is a vital life-long lesson these choir members will leam.

 

"But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord for He has been good to me" (Psalm 13:5-6).

The children's choir is comprised of two parts:

Rejoicing Hearts

This choir is offered to children in grades 3 through 8, with the 7th & 8th graders serving as Junior Leaders and taking on parts and roles best done by an older child.

This choir utilizes the many years' experience of its members to present various mediums of creative worship and interpretive movement. Sign language, dowel movement, stomp band ensemble work and choreography are all a part of the musical presentation for this choir.

Heart's Song

This choir is geared to children in grades 1 and 2. Their musical will be presented prior to the Rejoicing Hearts musical. They will also participate in part of the musical that the Rejoicing Hearts will be doing.
